OPERATIONS REPORT 1. 2007 OPERATIONS
(1) MWRD Calumet. There was no hauling of biosolids to Fulton County in 2007. The last biosolids were delivered in 2004. The last 640 dry tons was shipped under the 2004 contract and stockpiled on the pad of Holding Basin 1. This material is being used for the R&D Field Phosphorous Runoff Study. (2) Fulton County. Excluding salaries, the 2007 budget contains contracts and purchase orders with an approximate value of $1,073,000.00. Of that total approximately $10,000.00 is for fuel oils, approximately $47,000.00 is for utilities, and approximately $846,000.00 is for service contracts such as Paving, Fencing, Site Maintenance, Security, and Custodial services. The remaining $170,000.00 is for various purchase orders with local vendors. 2007 AGRICULTURAL PROGRAM A. Leases. All of the agricultural leases are with local individuals. (1). Approximately 579.5 acres of hay fields at the Prairie Plan site have been leased. (2) There are approximately 3359 of crop fields leased. (3). There is also approximately 1206.9 acres of pasture leased. The above total equals 5145.4 acres. OTHER A. The Site Maintenance Contract provided labor, equipment, and materials to support various ongoing studies of the R&D Department, such as the Phosphorous Phytoavailability Study. B. Other Site Maintenance Activities · 12,971 feet of fence were replaced. · Weed control and mowing roadsides and other unused areas C. IDNR/AML: This office has met with representatives of the Abandoned Mined Lands Office of the IDNR in regard to township road improvements. |
