Chemical Toilet Waste Program
The Chemical Toilet Waste Program controls and monitors the disposal of chemical toilet waste to the MWRD's collection system and facilities with the goal of keeping such wastes out of the environment and providing appropriate treatment. This program is administered through the Chemical Toilet Waste Ordinance and is open to any haulers of such wastes. Typically, haulers bring in wastes from portable toilets located at area festivals, construction sites, and public parks, delivered to the Stickney WRP. The MWRD prohibits the delivery of wastes from septic tanks and cesspools, or from any truck used to haul special or hazardous wastes.
To receive a permit for this program, please submit an application or contact the MWRD for more information.
