Submit by January 31, 2025To be considered for the program, a pre-application must be on file by the date above. Please fill out the pre-application below and upload any required documentation. We will review pre-applications as they are submitted and provide feedback along with a link to finalize your Full Application. Projects whose total construction costs exceed $3 million may be asked to provide a Benefit-Cost Analysis their Full Application.

Must be a public entity able to enter into an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the MWRD. Eligible public entities include municipalities, townships, and other local government organizations.
Administrative Head or Executive of the Applicant
Individual that will sign and submit the final, full application to the MWRD. Examples include Public Works Director, Engineering Director or an equivalent position.
Application Preparer or Facilitator
Individual knowledgeable about the details of this application, authorized to prepare and review applications on behalf of the Applicant.

What are the existing conditions of the project site?
Excluding weather conditions, describe how the project site is currently used, the properties in the surrounding area, nearby bodies of water, any historical associations, known environmental factors, and any other relevant details.

Describe your project, including the extent of flooding in the area, what buildings or infrastructure are impacted by the flooding, and the proposed stormwater improvements to be constructed. You will have another opportunity to provide further detail later in your Full Application.

Under this program, MWRD funding can only be used to reimburse the construction of stormwater infrastructure. Please separate the costs of the project between stormwater and non-stormwater costs.
