The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) will celebrate Women’s History Month with a special event on Thursday, March 27, from noon to 1 p.m. focused on the theme “Women Protecting Women.”

This event will feature speakers discussing empowering women through safety—from everyday personal care and protection to the broader implications of cybersecurity.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into maintaining well-being in both physical and digital spaces, as experts share strategies and resources to enhance safety, awareness, and preparedness. The discussion will highlight the unique challenges women face in today’s security landscape and provide actionable solutions to help them stay informed and empowered The MWRD recognizes the vital role women play in fostering security and resilience within our communities.
